Watt AI, Inc. is a Silicon Valley based technology startup delivering advanced AI-powered electric power flow optimization solutions to large-scale commercial and industrial energy consumers, including data centers and utilities.
As we scale operations domestically and internationally, we are seeking a highly capable Senior Accountant to architect and institutionalize the company's accounting infrastructure, tax strategy, and financial operating framework.
Strategic Mandate
This role will serve as the foundation of the company's financial governance, responsible for:
- Designing and implementing scalable accounting systems and internal controls
- Establishing compliant financial reporting aligned with U.S. GAAP
- Developing efficient federal, state, and cross-border tax strategies
- Structuring vendor payment systems and financial processes, including China-based partners
- Building standardized financial operating procedures to support rapid growth
- Providing analytical and strategic financial insights to executive leadership
Ideal Profile
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (experience in China strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated experience establishing accounting systems in early-stage or scaling companies
- Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, corporate tax, and cross-border transactions
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin and/or Cantonese
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and capable of operating autonomously
- Flexible in accommodating cross-time-zone collaboration

Compensation
Compensation package is negotiable in accordance with local industry norms and will be determined based on the candidate's background, expertise, and overall qualifications.
